NetCom Product Support(model RFT2-17-CAT5)

The NetCom's integrated digital CAT5 KVM is made by Minicom Advanced Systems. Support for the NetCom product and the integrated KVM is handled by NLS. Below you will find the latest bios and RICC firmware. If you're not sure what you need or require assistance, please contact NLS at 805.389.5435 x21 or email us at support@NLSdisplays.com. The below firmware and hardware updates are specifically for the NLS NetCom product.

Firmware

NetCom Switch Software version 1.6
Download NetCom Switch Update software version 1.6 for performing flash upgrades to NetCom Switch and RICC units. Added option to load factory defaults to Switch without upgrading its firmware. Once you download and install the above file, you may upload the below software to the NetCom and the RICCs. In most cases, updates are applied at NLS so updating of firmware is probably not required.

Installation
For best results, read the QuickStart Guide or the User Manual. Below is a basic installation overview:

          1. Turn off NetCom (NetCom power switch is located on the very back of the unit) and servers
          2. Connect RICCs to servers
          3. Connect CAT5 cables from the NetCom ports to the RICCs
          4. Turn on NetCom. Allow 15 seconds for all RICCs to be registered
          5. Press the SHIFT key twice and you will see the OSD. Press the F10 key to register the LCD settings with the RICCs. A “Please Wait” will flash in red at the bottom of the OSD. Once this stops flashing, hit the ESC key to exit the OSD.
